I don't know if this is anything that would interest you, but thought I'd put it out there in case you think it's brilliant: I've heard of making courduroy purses out of courduroy pants by just lobbing them off around the crotch, sewing the legs shut, lining it with some cool material and using the left over material from the legs to fashion a strap. Originally it was for a small purse - for example, I'm planning to make one out of my son's 24-month cords when he grows out of them - but I can't imagine it would be much harder to do it with grown-up sized ones? Just a thought. Haven't tried the project yet, but if there seems to be interest, I'll document my wanderings and get back to you.
